"T" "K" "R" "A" For the most part, my family knows me as John, and I answer to my given name Trevor as well. I tried a legal pen name in about 1995 and it was derived directly from the names of my parents, and I thought it sounded great... but it confused everyone including me. Shortly thereafter I realized that Raymond Amundson came WAY too close to the Egyptian sun god "Amun Ra" and as I understand, at one point some sort of wacko satanists or cult members were offended by this. (sometimes you just can't win no matter what) I'm going to try to use my traditional middle name and mom's name (John Amundson) from now on if I can... but I don't think there will ever be an end to the confusion. Therefore, "Not Sure" sums me up. Just don't spell it in reverse. "U STONER" is a ridiculous anagram that was snuck in by spelling "Not Sure" backwards in that (Mike Judge) movie... Anyway, I was born in 1967 and attended the school of hard knocks. I was a rebellious youth for a couple of years and then went into business for a short time. I realized that we needed MORALS much more than more big business, and in 1994 I started working on "Honesty International" as a non-profit attempt to figure out how to make the world better. I thought that I'd have a popular concern in no time, what with lame charities everywhere that seemed to flourish with lesser causes and ideals. Little did I know... Starting "Honesty International" seemed to quietly raise the ire of the establishment more than anything... and ordinary people were not interested in sitting down and working out new plans, schemes and ideas. Since then, I've learned that our global conscience is still ruled by medieval law (Religious law such as Canon Law, etc.) rather than common sense, and most people are too scared and oppressed to buck the status quo. We're stuck in a monopoly of a planet and our progress has been suppressed unless we get moral and ambitious and start working our way out. I'm still waiting for the day when people rise up and attempt to free themselves from the 'Idiocracy' in which we live. That's a pretty interesting movie by the way. BTW: There is one thing I should be up front about no matter how ridiculous it might come across as. I can't prove that there is a such thing as reincarnation, but if there is, I have the suspicion that I must have been through the ringer back in WW2. Now there is a practical REASON for this. I believe that we should be "change the world" activists with the same dedication and even fanaticism that the soldiers of the past displayed. I am not an advocate of violence, but our world is screwed up and I believe we should be militant, disciplined, and dedicated to ethical change. Rather than remain ashamed of the past, we should figure out our past mistakes, and identify the REAL problem that has plagued humanity all along; Avarice/Greed. That's the enemy. It's an enemy we can't overcome with violence of any kind, so the best idea is to cure the problem with EDUCATION. That's what I'm currently trying to do to the best of my ability. Some folks might think that the military paradigm is inappropriate, distasteful and even tacky, but I don't really care. I find it more motivating than what MOST people seem to do... spend their time in apathy letting the corporations maul and maraud all forms of goodness. Somebody needs to fight on and correct the world, or else the despicable billionaire economic rapists will continue to degrade our biosphere until it finally cracks under the strain. We don't need that! I encourage everyone and anyone who is able to get busy and do something. Don't let selfishness and laziness ruin our futures. Get busy! - John Amundson ILTM |
